THRUSH

*
*

This is a type of yeast that normally lives on the skin in the mouth and gut and can flare up from time to time. About 3/4 of women will experience it at some time, and a smaller amount will suffer it on a regular basis. It is much less common in men.

Thrush can cause itching, soreness, redness and red patches on the genitals and back passage, a thick white discharge smelling yeasty, pain during sex, pain when passing water, a thick cheesy discharge under the foreskin, and discomfort pulling back the foreskin.

It is very easily treated and medical advice should be sought for the best treatment for you. Having sex during treatment will only delay the healing process so it's best to avoid it until the thrush has cleared.
