Use
- Tranquillisers can be swallowed or injected
- They are prescribed as short-term treatment for anxiety, depression and sleep problems as Valiun, Temaz epam etc
- Supply is against the law
- When they cannot obtain alcohol and heroin, addicts of these often turn to tranquilliser abuse
Effects
- Tranquillisers make users relaxed and sleepy and slow them down mentally
- They relieve tension and anxiety
Risks
- Users get headaches and sickness when they stop taking them and may experience panic attacks
- Mixed with alcohol they are extremely dangerous
- Crushed and injected they are very dangerous and can be lethal
- Tranquillisers are addictive
