Description

  • Magic mushrooms are several types of wild mushrooms
  • There are other species of wild mushrooms which are similar in appearance but are highly poisonous

Use

  • Magic mushrooms are eaten raw, dried, cooked in food or stewed in tea
  • When prepared they are a Class A drug

Effects

    Magic Mushroom Tea
  • Users of magic mushrooms have an experience similar to that of LSD but milder and shorter
  • They make users feel spaced-out and can cause hallucination
  • The effects depend on the users mood and surroundings
  • Effects can last between half an hour to 9 hours

Risks

  • Magic mushrooms can cause stomach pains, sickness and diarrhoea
  • Users risk taking a poisonous mushroom which can be fatal

Law

  • This drug is not illegal to use or possess when it is raw
  • Once cooked brewed or dried it becomes illegal to use and supply (including giving it to a friend) and carries a maximum 7 year prison sentence for use and a life imprisonment sentence for supply (including giving it to a friend)
