Description

  • LSD is found in the form of very small pieces of paper with pictures on them

Use

  • LSD is sucked or swallowed
  • It is a Class A drug
  • Strengths vary and it is impossible to know how strong a dose is being taken

Effects

  • LSD is a hallucinogenic drug and causes users to experience their surroundings very differently for up to 12 hours
  • The effects depend on the users mood
  • Once the effects start they cannot be stopped

Risks

  • A bad experience cannot be predicted and can be terrifying, with long-term paranoia
  • Accidents are at greater risk of occurring whilst the user is hallucinating

Law

  • This drug is illegal to have or to supply to other people and carries a maximum prison sentence of 7 years for possession and an unlimited fine
  • Supplying LSD (including giving it to a friend) can carry a life imprisonment sentence plus an unlimited fine
