Description
- LSD is found in the form of very small pieces of paper with pictures on them
Use
- LSD is sucked or swallowed
- It is a Class A drug
- Strengths vary and it is impossible to know how strong a dose is being taken
Effects
- LSD is a hallucinogenic drug and causes users to experience their surroundings very differently for up to 12 hours
- The effects depend on the users mood
- Once the effects start they cannot be stopped
Risks
- A bad experience cannot be predicted and can be terrifying, with long-term paranoia
- Accidents are at greater risk of occurring whilst the user is hallucinating
Law
- This drug is illegal to have or to supply to other people and carries a maximum prison sentence of 7 years for possession and an unlimited fine
- Supplying LSD (including giving it to a friend) can carry a life imprisonment sentence plus an unlimited fine
- LSD can be detected for up to 3 days in the urine (wee)
